Kirt Voreis

Kirt Voreis has long been a leader in the Mountain bike industry. He is known to be one of the best all around riders in the world and is currently a true ambassador for the entire sport.

He started his career as a skateboarder from ages 15-18. After hurting his back in competition he began racing cross-country mountain bikes. Kirt became a professional downhill racer in 1994 after sending a tape of himself doing back flips to Yeti bicycles owner John Parker.

He has since raced and stood on the podium at countless World Cup and National downhill, dual slalom and mountain cross races across the globe. When mountain biking began to shift towards freestyle riding, Kirt began competing in freestyle events all over the world.

He has been sponsored by some of the largest factory teams in the bicycle industry during their most prominent years: Yeti, Specialized, Haro and currently the Santa Cruz Syndicate.

Currently Kirt runs his Santa Cruz AllRide Tour www.AllRideTour.com where he travels around North America stopping at bike dealerships and events. He allows people the opportunity to try before they buy. People can test ride bikes, pedals, helmets get autographed posters and maybe even some trick tips. He enjoys going on rides with people at their local spots and loves it when kids show him their secret jumps or downhill trail.

Kirt’s future goals are to generate more interest in the sport of mountain biking. He is respected at the highest levels yet makes the effort to connect with everyone and anyone who rides.

During the off-season Kirt speaks to kids at schools about the importance of hard work and determination. He was raised in a rough environment with drugs surrounding him and very little money so he has an appreciation for encouraging kids to look beyond their surroundings, set goals and work hard to achieve them.

Kirt lives in Bend, Oregon.
