Hit the Road and headed East!

Pumptracking with the ladies!
|
Kirt, Lindsey, Colin and Austin jumped in the freshly pimped out Specialized AllRide Van thanks to our local Audiowerx and headed East for a month long journey to the other side of the mountain biking world.
First stop, Grand Junction, Colorado where we said hi to DT Swiss and MRP, then headed out for a sweet shop ride with our friend Ryan Cranston and his posse of rippers from Ruby Canyon Cycles. We hammered the rocks and radness on the "LunchLoops" trails with the locals showing us the way. We loved every second of these trails and could have ridden them all day. We met more amazing riders and made new friends. Thanks Ruby Canyon Cycles!
We drove up the canyon and found our way to the much anticipated Grassroots Cycles Ranchstyle Jam. I, Lindsey was excited to help teach a ladies clinic with Tammy Donahue. We had a greaet turnout of eager ladies and it was a great day!
We let people demo bikes to ride the Ribbon Trail, which we were also fortunate enough to ride. There was a big air slopestyle event and Kirt and Austin Raced the Dual Slalom where they both crashed. Kirt's crash was hilarious as he bar-humped and ran into the opposing rider's berm. It was a good time in Grand Junction, CO. Kirt fell down...

From Colorado to Vermont Via Niagara Falls
|
 |
| Trapp Family Lodge |
|
We left Grand Junction, Co on Monday morning and arrived at Niagara Falls Tuesday afternoon. Quick photo op, then continued to AJ's Ski and Sport in Stowe, Vermont for a great demo and group ride with some awesome folks! Thanks Patrick Kell for setting it all up! Then we were lucky to attend the Vermont Mountain Bike Association Summit meeting at Trapp Family Lodge. Along with Gravity Logic we talked about the importance of buidling trails on mountains with lift access. Great times and lots of learning in Vermont!

Cierra in the Hot Seat
|
|
I Flew home to guide some mountain bike tours with Cog Wild and race the Hood River Super D where I got 3rd Pro. Whoot.
Kirt, Colin and Austin stayed east where they met up with Cierra to race Pro GRT 2 at Highland Mountain Bike Park in NH then just Austin raced the Pro GRT 3 in Plattekill, NY. These were his first two pro DH races so he did well and had fun. Cierra crashed at Highlands but still managed to get 5th and sit in the hot seat for a bit. Go Academy!!
After two weeks of racing in the mud, the boys headed West for a stop in Marquette, Michigan to ride some sweet singletrack with Lakeshore Bikes. They did a demo one day so people could ride our awesome Specialized Demo bikes, then Kirt, Austin and Colin were led around the epic trails by Stephen and friends. Kirt said he wants to have an AllRide event in Marquette because the scene is so amazing. Good times across the country.
Lovely Marquette, Michigan

I was fortunate enough to speak at a Dirt Divas night in Bend, and help coach at the Canadian Run Women's Dirt Series that came to Bend for the weekend. I am also headed to the Beti Bike Bash all women's event in Colorado with fellow Specialized rider, Rebecca Rusch where we will help ladies pre ride the course, lend skills advice and be around for motivation! After that we both head to the Ashland Super D for more ladies stuff. Kirt is heading to Ketchum for a 5 day shoot with Smith Optics, then Ashland, then So Cal for some Specialized and Fox Fun.
See ya next time. Thanks for reading. AllRide, It's all about the RIDE that is life... Live it to the fullest.
New black socks too!!
