Best Gear EVER! Lucky us!!

Following a pretty good stint of travel, we arrived home to a porch full of Clif replenishments. We were starting to panic about running out of our delicious riding nutrition! I share them with fellow riders and clients when I guide for Cog Wild and I get others addicted to the goodness. Y U M.

I was recently introduced to the latest sensation, the CRUNCH bars. OMG. Just try 'em. They rule!

Home trail racing is a whole lot of fun! Ripping our trail called Funner, alone, me and my bike, as fast as possible without sliding out in 1 of a billion blown out corners was a BLAST. That's all I can say. Here's the thing about Super D's with women... We want everyone to do well and do their best. It's so fun to share the stories of the course and compare the love of the challenge. Super D's are awesome! I got 2nd pro women. Whoop.

The Downieville Classic

I have decided not to race the Downieville Classic because it's hard. Am I a wimp? It is an epic race. If you race All Mountain you are in for some "joy-torture" xc and then a rip-roaring, challenging downill the next day when you're exhausted. My friend Lizzy English won her first major Pro race here this year and it was fun to be there to support and cheer. Do I feel bad that I didn't race? Kind of. Was it a good time where people demoed our sweet Specialized bikes, ate our Clif product, drank our Deschutes Beer, checked out our line up of stellar products and hung out with us? Yes. We were also happy to be of service for Max Houtzager from the Specialized Whole Athlete program when he needed some technical support. He won jr expert all mountain! We attend these events so we can help riders in need have a better ride.

New Video!! Cali road trip...

Screaming Blitz Finish. Then I had to chug a beer. I spilled a lot while choking and spitting it out between gasps of air!

Kirt and some of the Academy Kids, along with filmmaker, Gunnar, headed south for a California road trip that included a stop at the Specialized P bike launch, a stop at Fox headquarters for a sales event and some rad skate park riding along the way. You can see Kirt slam a few times which resulted in a pretty sore wrist. So he's been taking it easy. Check it out!

Last night I, Lindsey, raced our local Blitz to the Barrel race where we raced from a snowpark down through our fun Super D course, all the way into town ending at the 10 Barrel Brewery. I was 5th after a hard fought battle, an over the bars and some nice shoulder checks on trees! It was a mass start and Kelli Emmett raced... So RAD! Next up, WHISTLER with the Academy... Rain is expected.
