When Kirt and Colin headed to Ray's to paint the Clif Bar pumptrack mural, our favorite filmmaker Gunnar captured it all. Click below for the story and the awesome video he made:
Kirt was excited to race down his home trail, Funner. He knew he wouldn't pedal as fast as the super fit world cup guys, but he knows how to launch himself down Funner pretty fast. The universe once again wasn't on Kirt's side when a lava rock tore his sidewall and his tire popped out. He did great in his other stages and overall we had a blast.
Great photos online by Paul Clark and Mike Albright from Bend!
I have been traversing across the country teaching women's clinics and I'm excited to send out that update soon...
GO RIDE YOUR BIKE!
The first race in the Oregon Enduro Series has come and gone. Everyone has been raving about the new format with more downhill stages being timed, rather than climbing. The first race was on our home turf in Bend, Or.
The atmosphere was on fire with riders from all over gathering at the Wanoga Parking lot to rip down some zippy fun singletrack.
I, Lindsey, was humbled when three strong out of town women crushed me on my home turf, where there is a fair amount of pedaling. I think I need a little more time to ease into races, and this format is bing! bang! boom! going fast right out of the gate. I was 4th overall pro women and happy to make it onto the podium.
NEXT UP: Blitz to the Barrel, Subaru Outside Games clinics and Round 2 of Oregon Enduro Series: Ashland, OR !!
